Your Palio is a fine cutting instrument made of the finest materials available today. Built to withstand years of shock and various climate conditions, cared for properly your Palio should last you a lifetime.

The Blades of your Palio are made of 420 Stainless Steel with a 57/58 Rockwell c hardness. This is the hardest steel of any cigar cutter being made today, ensuring you the longest life for the edge. Aside from the name, Stainless Steel will rust if not cared for properly, so it is very important to keep your cutter from accumulating oils, tobacco bits and dust. Overtime your blades can build up this residue and the blades and action may fail to operate properly. The excess moisture buildup can also inhibit rust and this may in turn pit the steel, causing permanent blemishes on the blades.

The body of your Palio is made of state-of-the art engineering polymers, not plastic! It is designed to withstand many years of use and shock. Plastic tracks will bind overtime, our composite ensures the track run forever smooth.

We suggest you follow these simple guidelines to ensure a lasting relationship with your Palio.

Keep your Palio cutter in it’s pouch when not in use. This will keep it safe and out of the elements.

Your Palio should be kept free of any obstructions in the tracks, such as dirt and tobacco bits. Dirty tracks can wear faster, speeding up the lifespan of your Palio.

Every so often you should wipe down the blades and tracks with rubbing alcohol. Carefully use a q-tip to clean in the tracks and around the inside edges of the blades. This will keep the blades from being damaged due to buildup of oily tobacco.

You can also clean your Palio with mild soap and warm water. Your Palio is dishwasher safe too*. We recommend cleaning it once a month if used heavily. You can use a bottle-brush or similar to get into the tracks and clean out any buildup, or just put it in with your next load of dishes and it will be clean as new. This will ensure the tracks stay clean and working properly. Please be sure to dry the cutter real good after cleaning, inside and out. This will keep the blades free of rust and the track free of dirt.

*please note that cleaning to often in the dishwasher may decrease the lifespan of the blades (this also depends on the hardness of the water in your home).
